Miracle of Provision

Some Good News….

All through the Bible, in every story of need, there is a miracle of provision.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

BUT REMEMBER…God promises to meet your needs. He’s never promised to provide your wants.

Principle #1: When God guides, he always provides.

The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11

Principle #2: God miraculously blesses what is given.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2 Corinthians 9:10

Principle #3: You might be a part of God’s provision.

You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11

Send Me

Three Responses to God’s Call…

Response # 1:  “Here I am. I’m not going!”

The word of the Lord came to Jonah: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away from the Lord.  Jonah 1:1-3

Response #2: “Here I am. Send someone else!

[God said] So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt. But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.” Exodus 3:10; 4:13

Response #3: “Here I am. Send me!”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8

What do you need to fully surrender to God?

You need a genuine experience with the presence of God.

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Isaiah 6:1

You need is a genuine awareness of your sinfulness.

Then I said, “It’s all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among a people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” Isaiah 6:5 (NLT)

You need a genuine understanding of God’s Grace.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Isaiah 6:6-7
